Thank you for joining us!
On Mother’s Day weekend, we reopened the Van Lierop Bulb Farm for our first public event here at the farm.
Nearly 400 joined us to celebrate mothers and their enduring legacy in our communities.
We transformed the gift shop into a gourmet cafe (thank you Bette Anne and The Gourmet Niche!). We sold locally made chocolates and gifts and diaper cakes, and beautiful handmade cards, many of which were made by some of Step By Step’s very talented moms. We had free pictures with moms and a kids’ craft station, where kids planted flowers with Miss Washington IJM. The Daffodil Princesses helped host the event alongside us, and they helped kids as they chose flowers to make their own bouquets for their moms. There were smiling families and mothers and children everywhere, people drinking tea, getting pictures taken, laughing and enjoying time together at this beautiful place. It was magical, and it was everything we are about.
At Step By Step, we believe that mothers have the power to dramatically change and empower our families and communities. They are growing our next generation of families, and we want to help them be successful and thrive.
It was exciting to see the farm open to the public once again. This was a small glimpse into our vision for this place, that it would serve and stregthen families and be a beautiful place that will continue to enrich our community for many generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and thank you to the many volunteers who came together to make our first Mother’s Day event so memorable.
We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
Thank you to everyone who made this event happen!
